Homemade Puto Cochinta Recipe

Ingredients:

4 cups all purpose flour
4 cups sugar
3 cups water
1 tsp lye solution (lihiya)
1 shredded coconut
Procedure:

1. Mix the flour, sugar and water thoroughly.
2. Add 1 tsp lye solution.
3. Pour the mixture into the puto molds.
4. Steam for 25 - 35 minutes or until cooked.
5. Remove the puto from the molds.
6. Add shredded coconut meat as toppings.
